  • Initial Consultation: In order to be able to treat a problem, we must first be able to diagnose it; the initial consultation is to assess your areas of concern and needs and to create a treatment plan to address the limitations found. If your injury is of a traumatic nature and you have an ACC claim already filed for it, we will use that claim, and if not, we will file a claim for you*

  • Our main area of expertise is musculoskeletal physiotherapy, examples of conditions commonly seen (but not limited to) are:​

    • Occupational & Sports Injuries​: e.g. muscle/tendon/ligament strains/sprains & tears, tendinopathy, impingement, etc.

    • Repetitive Strain Injuries: e.g. carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, jumper’s knee, shin splints, etc.

    • Traumatic fractures

    •  Spinal Conditions:​ e.g. headaches/migraines, disc protrusion, hernia, back pain, sciatica, whiplash, neck pain/stiffness, etc.

    • Concussion: evaluation, education, follow-up

    • Pre & Post Operative Management & Rehabilitation: e.g. ACL reconstruction, Arthroscopy, Hip/ Knee replacement, Rotator Cuff repair, subacromial decompression, stabilisation, etc.

    • Osteoarthritis 

    • Peripheral/Joint Conditions​, arthritic Pain-hips, sacroiliac joints, knees, ankles

    • Bursitis - shoulder, hip

    • Adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder)

    • Instability/Dislocations- shoulder, patella 

    • Women’s Health​: incontinence, post-natal rehabilitation

    • Paediatrics/ adolescent conditions, e.g.: Osgood Schlatter's, Sever’s Disease, scoliosis, sports injuries, etc.

    • Postural problems

    • Contusions- Bruising/Haematomas

    • Plantar Fasciitis, achille's tendinopathies

  • Treatment Sessions: we are firm believers in evidence-based practice and use techniques that have proven to be effective. Treatment techniques used (but not limited to) are:​

    • Myofascial Release

    • Soft Tissue Release, Trigger Point Release

    • Manual Therapy

    • McKenzie Approach

    • Mulligan's Approach: Mobilization with Movement

    • Deep Tissue Massage

    • Taping: Strapping, Kinesiotaping

    • Progressive return to sports and/or vocation rehabilitation

    • Pre & Post-surgery protocol rehabilitation: e.g. ACL reconstruction, Shoulder arthroplasty, Total Hip/Knee Replacement, Rotator Cuff tear repair, etc.

    • Exercise Prescription

    • Education: condition specific information, self management/preventative measures. moving & handling techniques

    • External Referral (if necessary): Xray, Ultrasound, Specialist, your GP
